TIBETAN SNOW LION
SKATEBOARD ART EXHIBITION

Ihsan Ishan Design participated in a group skateboard art exhibition at EyeJammie Fine Arts Gallery with a hand-painted, silkscreened interpretation of a Tibetan bronze Snow Lion from the Rubin Museum’s permanent collection.
Sponsored by the Beastie Boys, the exhibition was especially memorable when MCA (Adam Yauch) immediately recognized the Tibetan Snow Lion depicted in my work. He is the founder of the Milarepa Fund.
A symbol of Tibetan identity, resilience, and freedom, the Snow Lion reflects my broader interest in the spiritual meaning behind sacred art and the connections I discover across Tibetan Buddhist and Hindu traditions. Having also led tours at the Rubin Museum, my work explores these objects not simply as beautiful works of art, but as expressions of living faith, history, and cultural identity.
