Brand Identity & Logo Design
Too much design today is visually polished but culturally empty it lacks story, depth, and meaning. Institutions, brands, companies, and individuals want to communicate who they are and what they stand for, yet often struggle to translate identity, values, and belief into design that truly resonates.
Ihsan Ishan Design addresses this gap through research, scholarship, education, and extensive experience across museums, fashion, beauty, luxury, streetwear, and cultural institutions. We pride ourselves on our diverse background and the ability to design across languages, disciplines, and mediums.
Our work creates brand identities and visual systems rooted in meaning, transforming complex narratives into thoughtful, cohesive design that people can feel, understand, and remember. The result is work that is not only beautiful, but purposeful, inclusive, and enduring.
A QUEER, INTERFAITH, INTERCULTURAL, WEDDING
AT AN ART MUSEUM
Ihsan Ishan Design had the privilege of crafting the logo and branding for the wedding of Kiran James (Bharatanatyam Dancer, Educator, Writer, Podcaster) and Wesley Beeks (Artist, Chef, Yoruba Priest), a Queer, Interfaith (Hindu and Yoruba), Intercultural South Indian American (Tamil) and African American (West Africa) couple which took place at the Montclair Art Museum in Montclair, New Jersey.
The logo seamlessly integrates symbols from both faiths, featuring the trishul from Hinduism and the sword/anvil from Yoruba tradition. Drawing inspiration from the cultural heritage of both grooms, the color palette includes gold, cream, and coral. The intricate swirls, foliage, and typography symbolize the harmonious union of two rich faiths and cultures.
Ihsan Ishan Design was privileged to contribute to the religious altar installation of Hindu Goddess Saraswati, symbolizing learning, music, fine arts, and knowledge, alongside Yoruba Goddess Oba. Both goddesses, represented by rivers, were depicted with cloth wrapping, symbolizing the unity of faiths.

Evan Hatfield Arabic
Calligraphy Logo
Designed for sitarist Evan Hatfield, this logo serves as a visual expression of his musical identity and appears on the cover of his first full length album. Evan’s music blends techno with the Hindustani classical tradition, reaching contemporary audiences while honoring centuries old musical forms.
The design incorporates his name rendered in Arabic calligraphy, integrated into the form of the sitar itself symbolizing how his work brings diverse cultures and communities together through sound. Drawing from the instrument’s rhythmic structure and the improvisational nature of Indian classical music, the logo balances tradition and modernity, reflecting Evan Hatfield’s approach to discipline, innovation, and creative exploration.
