Museum Branding &
Exhibition Identity

At Ihsan Ishan Design, we create museum branding rooted in scholarship and research. We distill the voice of your institution and its exhibitions into design systems that connect audiences emotionally and intellectually.

Spanning exhibition branding, typography, pattern, illustration, print, digital, and exhibition design, we translate narratives into clear, cohesive visual systems that create context, meaningful engagement, and lasting impact.

Our work helps museums communicate with depth, coherence, and purpose, ensuring that each exhibition and program is experienced as thoughtfully as it is presented.

The Steins Collect:
Matisse, Picasso, and
the Parisian Avant-Garde

A Story of Discovery:

Extensive research by Sangeetha Kowsik uncovered an early 1900s map of Paris, which was meticulously redrawn and hand-illustrated to trace the location of Gertrude Stein’s residence during that period.

Archival research also revealed a historic stamp, which was carefully redrawn and integrated into the exhibition’s visual identity.

The typography was inspired by the artists Stein championed, while the
hand-illustrated map became the
central graphic element anchoring
the exhibition’s branding.
