CONCEPT :

This is a card for the holiday of Ramadan with the traditional greeting "Ramadan Mubarak, Ramadan Kareem," along with "siyaman makbulan wa iftaran shahiyan" meaning "May your fast be accepted and may you have a delicious breakfast."

Thus, I have included various fruits and veggies in this piece- pomegranate for my Afghans/Persians, mango for my desis (Indian, Pakistanis, Sri Lankans) and bean (foul) for my Arabs. I also included a banana as a nod to Muslims from South India. Plus, who in the world doesn't love a banana?

Although, dates are the "traditional" food for all Muslims to break their fast,
I chose the “traditional” fruits/vegetables of each culture.

"Ramadan Mubarak" is written on the right side of the heart top to bottom and "Ramadan Kareem" is written on the left, bottom to the top. "Siyaman makbulan wa iftaran shahiyan" is written inside the fruits and vegetables.
